There are no charges for buying components through semicentral.com. The price you see has been determined by the seller and this is the total price you pay.

Semicentral.com is not the component seller; you are buying components directly from a third party. When you buy at Semicentral.com, you’re buying from companies that have chosen to resell their stock. Our marketplace allows you to see all of the available stock at once, giving you the power to readily find the components you want, in the quantity you need, and at the best price available.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for check back often! Our listings are constantly updated, and sellers regularly adjust quantities and pricing for a variety of reasons.

Q: What is a confirmed order?

When you place an order through Semicentral.com, we authorize (but do not charge) your credit card to verify your order and, immediately send the seller an email instructing them to confirm that they will be able to deliver the components for your order.

The sellers are instructed to accept an order within 24hours. They then have another 24 hours after accepting the order to make the shipment (max 48 hours to ship product). Semicentral.com measures the sellers and reports their performance in the form of a seller rating, this seller rating can be seen from the search results screen. For your convenience it includes a measurement indicator of the sellers order acceptance.

If a seller cannot confirm the order within 24 hours, you may try to find alternative components in the Semicentral.com marketplace for you to buy, or you may cancel your order.

This measurement is displayed in the form of a seller rating indicator and can be viewed against any line of inventory. Sellers who fail to confirm orders within 24 hours receive poor seller ratings and may be subject to account suspension or deactivation.

Q: What are the different types of listings?

Semicentral.com offers sellers a variety of ways to sell their inventory and a variety of ways for a buyer to purchase. The listing options are:

Auction style listings work like other auction sites you maybe familiar with. Semicentral.com sellers have the option to auction one part, or a “lot” of parts. Buyers can find a specific part that is being sold through an auction listing through the standard search results screen. Semicentral.com offers buyers the opportunity to bid on the lot. Remember, the buyer can then resell the unwanted balance back through semicentral.com.

Sell price with offers accepted. This provides both the buyer and seller flexibility to negotiate the deal to the satisfaction of both parties. If the seller has chosen to accept offers, the buyer can choose to either “Buy Now” at the sell price listed or, they can offer a price directly to the seller for consideration. The Offer can then be counter offered, accepted or rejected. All correspondence is covertly communicated through semicentral.com.

Sell price without offers accepted. The seller has chosen not to accept offers. The price that is listed is the price that must be paid by the buyer.

Q: How do I bid on an auction?

After reviewing the components detail in an auction style listing, to bid on the components:

The Minimum Bid is the lowest bid amount the seller is willing to accept. The Bid Increment is the increase in dollar amount required for each new bid.

In the event that you win the auction, follow the remaining steps, just like any other purchase.

Q: Is the Semicentral.com site secure?

Q: How do I pay? What credit card can I use?

Answer

You can buy components with your Visa or MasterCard debit card, or Visa or MasterCard credit card. We also offer Paypal for larger transactions, or for international orders.

Where is the CSC code on my credit card?

Answer

On Visa and MasterCard, the CSC code is a three-digit number located on the right hand side of the signature strip on the back of the card. Usually it is preceded by either the full credit card number or the last four digits of the credit card number.

What if I receive the wrong parts? What should I do?

Give us a call right away at 1-877-364-7364. Be prepared to give your order number. While this is unlikely to occur, rest assured that we will do everything possible to resolve the situation to your satisfaction.

Can I cancel my order?

Once you place an order, a seller has 24 hours to confirm your order. You cannot cancel an order during this 24 hour period.

You can cancel an order that has remained unconfirmed for 24 hours or more until the seller confirms the order. Give us a call at 1-877-364-7364. If you wish, we will contact the seller on your behalf to inquire about the unconfirmed order. Otherwise, we’ll be happy to help you cancel the order.

Q: Do the listed parts differ from the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)?

Sellers are free to ask any price for their components and Semicentral.com does not attempt to regulate seller’s prices.

What are the shipping fees and what do they cover?

Shipping fees cover the cost of delivery to the customer. Fees are determined by the method of shipping chosen by the buyer, as well as the weight of the components purchased.
